Cremation
For everyone,
There will be a final hour
When the breath of life has stilled
And transformation begins.
For some,
A journey into the flames.
The body,
Once a vessel,
Now returns to the elements,
Ashes to ashes,
Dust to dust.
In the heart of the fire
There is a release,
A letting go of the physical,
A return creation.
The flames weave and flicker,
A solemn yet sacred rite,
Turning what was solid
Into the mystery of smoke’s transformation.
Cremation is a passage,
A bridge between worlds,
Where the tangible fades and the essence soars free
It is a moment of reverence,
A final farewell,
Honoring the life lived,
And the memories left behind.
In the ashes,
There is a story of love,
Of loss,
Of life’s testament of existence,
A reminder of our temporary creative iteration..
And as the smoke rises,
Carried by the wind,
We find solace in the cycle,
In the eternal return,
Existence moving on.
And we…
Await our own final mortal hour,
While the mysteries of the universe
Have barely been revealed.
