As a Mother of two sons I remember my Mother saying 'just you wait one day you will see when you have kids', and how right she was, experience gives us two perspectives that of the child and the parent.
Parent and child never agree on issues
The generation gap ensures that
The elder will provide and guide
The younger will revolt and reject
It's the balance of the two
Time will eventually renew
So the younger will grow and by virtue of time
Learn that the parent was correct
In asserting that he or she be limited
So that they would grow to see
How difficult it is to be
A parent with guilt
For all the trouble they presented
When they resented and fought their parents
And so nature continues to make irony the lesson
To all who think they know best
But later find it's just a child's role
To teach lesson as they grow
