Another Day Begins
As I go into the fields
No rest for me, no subtleness here
As No one I meet, smiles at me with grace
I am scorned and sworn against
Though I bring peace, and eternalness
I am misunderstood and unloved
But I do my job, and I truly am the best
I am there when needed in an instant
With no complaints, no demands
I am silent at work, and do not discriminate
I am powerful, yet gentle
I am as old as time, but don’t hold the flesh
I can be soft spoken, or monumental at my best
Man has feared me through the ages
For I am the one thing he cannot explain
I am on a first name basis
My work though is never the same
You my friend may know me simply as
Death
