Sometimes, someone enters our life and makes things change

Poem Artwork

Adversity surrounded me encasing me in shadows

Each turn led to a closed door of opportunity
No matter how hard I tried to overcome my fouls
It seemed endless and life was turning into a challenge
One that I felt I was not up to overcoming
.
Doors closed whenever I tried to change things
To make a smoother voyage as I moved on to my destiny
Seemed like I couldn’t wedge them open to let me in
So that I could do what I had to do to succeed
I couldn’t get the tools that I truly need
.
The door swung quietly open and in walked
Someone whose faith in me never waivered
With open arms he took me in and helped me
Through all the rough paths I had to overcome
Clearing the roads of the dregs of my past
.
Opening up new avenues for me to pursue
Holding my hand if I stumbled so I wouldn’t fall
Helping me to keep it together through it all

Some doors are best left shut and some need to be opened gently

...common saying that having an open door equals
many opportunities...possibilities in life...It is
...blessing to turn to the right hand and...have all
the doors flying open and...Have courage to walking
...explore within...and...know when to pull...when
to push! God Bless!
Thank you Kathy, for sharing your inspiring poem.

Such a friend is a treasure that everyone ought to have; sadly, some of us have not found such an individual. Love and best wishes to you, Kathi,

Oh yes, we should all be thankful for that person who comes along when we least expect it, and leaves before we ever get to thank him or her for that gentle nudge that nobody else was willing to give. It's another reason for believing in guardian angels...Thanks for the reminder.
