Hold you dear
It’s hard to look around this place,
I always have to ask for strength and Grace,
Wherever I look I can see your face.
I hear our songs and I think of you
I think of all we used to do.
I try to take the next step in life,
Without you by my side, it seems so hard and,
I slip and slide and I lose my stride.
I know you promised to always be there,
I know I am crazy to want you here!
But what am I supposed to do?
You weren’t supposed to leave so soon.
I find it hard to sleep at night,
I stretch out my arm and you are not by my side,
I take a deep breath and sigh, but all I want to do is cry.
I really miss you so much my dear,
There is still so much we had to share,
I know you promised to always be near,
So I’ll keep you close to my heart and hold your memory dear.
