I told a friend I could not sleep last night
because I was in a philosophical quandary.
He said I should have tried a bed instead.
Mid-Tunnel
Stuck in a bloody writer's block
I took the problem to a psychologist,
but she was blocked psychically and
referred me to an artist, but she was
blocked in her vision, so she sent me
to an engineer, but he was blocked
logistically, and sent me straight to God.
But Peter, who was blocked sagaciously,
had trashed a kinky key, such that God
was blocked in Paradise, and couldn't hear me.

I am joined at the cortex with insomnia.
A separation is needed but

I graduated from the University
of Sleeplessness with a DMD,
Doctorate of Morpheon Deprivation.

but escaped, a regular houdini.
Had it not drowned,
I would have smothered it
with my pillow, useful at last.
