'Taking it to the Nines'

Poem Artwork

  A Cat Has Nine Lives
And All the days of Methuselah Were -
Nine Hundred Sixty and Nine Years
At Sixes and Nine(s)
A Stitch in Time Saves Nine
Bent as a Nine Bob Note
Cat O'Nine Tails
Cloud Nine
Dressed to the Nines
Fell Like Nine Pins by the Wayside
Nine Day's Wonder
Nine Inch Nails
Nine Innings
Nine Mile Nuts
Nine Times Out of Ten
Nine West
Nine Years After
Nonsense Nine
One After Nine-0-Nine
Possession is Nine-Tenths of the Law
State of Nine
The Thirty-Nine Steps
The Whole Nine Yards
Three, Six, Nine, the Goose Drank Wine
*Editor's Note: these were all obtained
chiefly by extraction from the seeds of
nux vomica, formerly used as a central
nervous system stimulant.

Lance,

Interesting numerology. Of course, other numbers of importance 3, 12, and 40, (in the Bible) Fascinating and loved the way you told it.

Oh Lance, leave it to you to come up with nines and make a great write out of it. What a talented guy you are...If I was to write one about nines, 9 out of 10 people wouldn't even look at it. But you my friend create and adorable fun write. Love and hugs, Bonnie
