There use to be a rebel,

Who thought he had a cause.

But as he grew each day he knew,

It had too many flaws.

 

Like faith that only came to light,

When darkness came to be,

But every time the darkness passed,

His faith would also flee.

 

Then hope would kind of come and go,

When things would go his way,

But hope would never go beyond

The things he'd do or say.

 

So when this rebel came to know,

The ultimate control,

The faith and hope that never dies,

Saved this rebel's soul.

 

Romans 10:9
