Merle knows

One of the early things I remember about Glen Campbell was his unique ability on the 12-string guitar...he was remarkable. Thanks for stirring that pleasant memory.

You are certainly of great writer of tributes and you couldn't pick a finer person to write a tribute to (maybe Pat Boone? ;-)). While I was reading I couldn't get “Galveston” and “The Wichita Lineman” off my mind… Such catchy tunes and rhymes will always stay with me. I'm so glad he came out and told us about his plight early. It's also good to see that Mohammad Ali is still with us and still joking and that Michael J. Fox is back on TV this fall.
Like John Denver, by the time I get to Phoenix, Glen Campbell will always remain, gentle on my mind, like yours.
Excellent poetic tribute Edward! So many new musicians could learn from Glen Campbell. Now I hear that he is not doing too well. Alzheimer's has taken it's toll. God Bless you Ed for this tribute as Glen was one of my favorite singers of all time.
