How Grand it Is

When you find there is someone
Who can lift up your soul
Who can stir up your senses
And make you lose control
Welcome to life
You’re a part of the mix
You’re in for a ride
You won’t want to fix.

And when you feel an affection
Coming straight from her heart
One that trumps all your logic
You thought was so smart
Give it up friend
You’re caught in a web
Not spun by a spider
By something stronger instead.

Like a supercollider
She’ll penetrate your heart
Make a mess of your ego
Long before you can start
To build your defenses
Protect your vulnerable side
You’re caught in her grasp
You’re in for the ride.

Yes, love comes around
In the most wonderful way
It leaves you perplexed
With not much to say
When the teacher is someone
So young and so small
Who looks deep in your eyes
And calls you “grand pa.”

Yes Ed, they say it is quite great, the love of generation next to next.
I think it is the difference in gap between the two, the love becomes double toned Jk, great thoughts!JK

How great is this sweet poem's
love...that grand-pa has lavished
on his little girl...with...extra
powers to "make a mess of your ego"
...lots of giggles and a special
twinkles in her eyes to lighten up
his heart.
Thank you Edward, for sharing with us
this heart touching verse.

There's no greater love, than the love of a child. As someone much wiser than myself once said, If I knew grandkids were this much fun, I would've had them first. Mine call me Poppy or G-Pa.
