Sweet as golden honey dripping

From your full and pouting lips

Smooth, sweet words are slipping

To my eager ears

 

Insistent is that sweet dripping

Of sugar-soaked promises of love

Steady is the satisfying slipping

To my eager ears

 

Patiently waiting for the dripping

Of words poised with potential

Sweetly and softly slipping


To my eager ears
