This piece was written from the male perspective, prompted by a few precious words from a special man.

Poem Artwork

Lightening flashing, crashing thunder,

Cause me to remember and to wonder

Anytime the weather’s dark and grim

I want to go up those stairs again

Up the stairway to a little heaven on earth

One step at a time to the room up there

Where our sweet love was first shared

Candlelight glowing, soft music playing

Romance floating and shadows swaying

Up the stairway to a little heaven on earth

That first time, when the storm blew outside

We found sweet love and a place to hide

On the windowpanes, the rain beat down

But her sweet loving quieted all those sounds

Now, when it rains and the winds blow

Every time it storms, I want to go

Up those dozen or so steps to that place

Just those few steps up that staircase

Up the stairway to a little heaven on earth

Good job at writing from the male's perspective. Wonderful flow. Now you'll have to see what the fella's say.
