Poem Artwork

Four…three…two…one

The countdown had begun

Then into the limitless wild blue

Up we went…just us two

Just a man and a woman

But united as one

We flew to heights we’d never known before

The vastness of the sky was our open door

Four…three…two…one

Our journey has only just begun

Sweet love shared by two

Just a man and a woman

But united as one

After our flight, we returned to the solid ground

But charting the next time we could fly unbound

And soar high into the skies of love’s ecstasy

Leaving behind each and every earthly boundary

Four…three...two…one

Up to the stars and the sun

Carried by love ever so true

Just a man and a woman

But united as one

We’ll return, to forever soar in the sky above

In a vehicle created from our special love

Soaring to a faraway space made just for us

Our heaven of love that's forever limitless

I must agree with Sandie, this is an enjoyable piece of penning. A wonderful different way of expressing the joys of love, intimacy and more shared by two as one!

I like this poem. Something about the way you count appealed to me.
