Poem Artwork

There was nothing extraordinary about the door with the number 147,

But on the other side of it, you and I would find a small piece of heaven.

There, you and I made love on the anniversary of our two years,

Thankful that 147's walls had not peering eyes, nor hearing ears.

A single candle's flicker created a magical glow from ceiling to floor,

Illuminating the tall silhouette of you, the man I do so love and adore,

And your arms wrapped about me, pulling my body close to yours,

Your spirit infusing with mine, making me feel loved and secure.

We both whispered things, both naughty and nice, sharing physical intimacy,

Kissing, laughing and giving love to each other unreservedly.

There was nothing extraordinary about the door with the number 147,

But on the other side of it, you and I found our small piece of heaven.
