Though the world may temporally take me away, 
                                      my heart is always here to stay.

In my wanderings I have found many deceiving desires, 
                                      yet you give me rest when I tire.
 
And as I gaze at the glittering of man made things, 
                                      I realize it's only my greed that gleams.

For here with you is where I belong, 
                                      and those other things will soon be gone.

Though you tell me fire burns, 
                                      I still touch it.
Though you warn me the bridge is out, 
                                      I still walk it.
Though you give me all I need, 
                                      I still want more.
Though your love is unequaled, 
                                      I still seek elsewhere.

Yet here in the quietness of my heart, 
                                      these things slowly fade away.

And as I reach out to the light, 
                                       it is you who will always stay.
