Mirajolie

Yesterday
I did not know Mirajolie
Yesterday's world is alien
To me
Now Mirajolie
Lives in me
Like the most addictive drug
The prettiest woe
The most pleasurable pain
I am not that young
Though I feel like a child
Now
Mirajolie has given me back
My youth
Makes me feel
Like throwing caution
To the clouds
And the moon
Tonight is brighter than ever
And Mirajolie's eyes
Gently burn my soul
I cannot even write a poem
Worthy of her worth
I feel like a fool
Mirajolie
You have made me
Truly see me

A wonderful tribute to love and the way a person does truely get inside ones head! Don't laugh but I married my highschool sweetie and this month we celebrate our 37th anniversary. That man got into my head and is still there and I love the way he makes me feel! Even today in many ways he still makes me feel like a child sitting on the edge of the universe, preparing to explore it with him.

As Mari says, the name is a quality in itself resonating "miracle" and "mirage" and, of course, "jolie" which says it all.
And I, too, can resonate with the incredible and tender illusion and reality it expresses.

Dear Regis,

At times it is not words that can express our most inner thoughts, desires, emotions and feelings, but a simple hello, and a warm tender hug express so much more than a thousand words strung together. May your Mirajolie burn forever bright in your soul, and in so doing, allow you the ability to express beauty as you have done in this gem. Beautiful poetry Regis.

You must be melting her away with your writes: can feel the "love you so much it hurts"-thing here - like how I remember as a child wanting to squeeze the life out of the puppy I held close to my chest... come to think of it, I kinda feel like this now - so good job you are further away than arm's length!!! :)))) Go you - and fly-hi Mirajolie!! I like the before and after image. You caught the feeling of the moment when another person knocks you into a new orbit. Yours happened to be a romantic relationship, but also that can happen when you jump up a notch in some other part of your life thanks to somebody, so the read is real universal. So in that light Sehr gut! Tres bien! Bueno! najauni (Navajo for beautiful)
