My Dog Lee and I Believe

The talent show was tomorrow

I was sick as can be

So nervous,

So scared,

Too scared to be the person I was meant to be

I kept telling myself I could,

 I could do it!

But I didn’t believe I could

Scared and unsure I went to bed

To wake up that night in the hours of darkness,

I sat up straight in my bed to find a shimmering light in my shed,

But their where no lights in the shed,

I got up and went slowly toward the backyard door,

Dust lay everywhere,

The wind howled in the trees,

And thunder cracked in the skies

My muscles stiffened as the sun slowly drifted into the horizon

Should I turn back and hide underneath the warm covers that await me in my bedroom

Or should I head to the shed where the mysterious, bright light

lies?

I heard the crackle of leaves behind me

I turned to see what the sound might be

It was my dog Lee,

Watching over me,

Come on Lee

Let’s see what the mysterious light may be

Is it a ghost?

Or some mysterious host?

Lee and I walked slowly to the shed

And there in the corner was a tiny little bed

A man was crept in the corner

You could see he was cold and old

“Lee grab a blanket for this poor old man”

Lee ran to the house and grabbed the first blanket he could see

And ran back as he could

“Good boy!”

I looked to the right

To realize the bright light was two pair of gold wings,

The man was an angel,

Who stood up and stood by my side

“What do I do with these gold wings?” I asked the angel

“Put the wings on you and your dog my child.” Answered the angel

I put the wings on me and Lee and flew with the angel to a place that had many stars,

The angel then appeared and said, “Follow your heart, your goals and your dreams.”

Only you know what is right for you

Anything is possible

Miracles do come true ,

Hope and dreams are a reality if let them be,

The world is at your feet

Therefore, there is no time waste,

The talent show is tomorrow

And tomorrow all your hopes and dreams will become true

Start flying to the stars,

The bright star in the sky created especially for you,

Therefore, there is no time to lose go find your bright star,

When you find it, open the magic door

Out will come gifts,

Waiting for you to explore,

Faith,

Courage,

Wisdom

And strength

So believe in yourself

And follow your heart

Your heart will never steer you wrong

You can be or do whatever you want to as long as you believe in yourself.
