Inspirational poem about dogs

Poem Artwork

Dogs Bring New Meaning to Life

What is it like to have a dog?

To sit by your side,

To pet,

To cuddle,

And to hold

A dog to play fetch with in the backyard

Or run with on the beach

On a warm, sunny day

As your toes glide through the silky sands of the shore

Dogs astonishingly can become one of humans’ closest companions

As their love

And compassion

Shows through their actions

As they, sense when something is wrong and their first reaction is to help and make the situation better

And when we are happy

They share our joy by becoming a part of the celebration

As they jet around the room spreading their love from person to person

They have the power to help enhance our lives

And bring us to higher levels

By helping, us understand the true meaning of love and friendship

Stacy,

I ABSOLUTELY love my dog. I've had him ten years now. He's part of the family, He knows when I'm sick, when I'm sad, he's very smart. I hope I have Blackie ten more years.

Love and blessings,

Through domestication, we have created dogs from wolves, foxes, and jackals into many breeds of many dispositions, all faithfully devoted to their creator, our ancestors. It would be strange to have a world without dogs. The reason they are so affectionate is partly because they are so dependent upon us and need us to survive. That's why we should always treat them with affection and care for them mightily. Your dog poems are very sweet.

Don't know how I could exist without a dog. Always had one as a kid and grown up. Great poem.
