Poem Artwork

Men revere justice
They talk in hushed tones
Of her beauty and her innocence
But I have seen the unspoiled one
whoring on the streets of this city,
offering herself to the highest bidder
She never was blind;
She just closed her eyes
And thought of the money.

Ian, sometimes that's the only way one can get through the day! Just close your eyes and hope it's all over when you find the courage to open them again.
This is one powerful write! Lisa
