This is part 2 of a series...

He opted to walk home;
Walk home
Instead of taking the train.

Thought it would clear his head.
Give him time to plan his big coo--
His break-out from cubicle jail.

That space had begun to suffocate him.
He couldn�t breathe in there.
There was just too little air.

The thought of quitting excited him--
Maybe he won�t quit, he thought.
I just won�t show up.
They can ship my things to me

Just like they do
When the layoffs come,
And they don�t want the displaced workers
To go �postal�.

He remembers his benefits--
Medical, Dental, 401k, Transportation Allowance, Flexible Spending�

It�s easy to vent, he sighs;
Harder to leave
When the benefits count...

And for a 40 year old single
Sexually active male,
The benefits count.

He turns a corner
Pulls a napkin out of his pocket
And wipes his nose.

A cold wind always makes his nose run�
They say it�s the chill in the air.

Occasionally, it will turn into a
Head cold,
And he�ll need to visit the doctor.

The doctor, he thinks�benefits�

Eventually
When he�s out of
A corporate cubicle,
He wants a family.

But who would marry a man with no benefits?

He chuckled aloud
As he thought of
Women he�s dated that would fall
Into that category�

The woman walking in front of him
Turns in response...

She�s kinda cute�
��
