What does Jesus running away at 12 have to do with President Donald Trump employing his children, and what does this have to do with child labor? The difference between the wealthy and the middle class is that the wealthy read and research the laws and use them for their benefit. I remember watching “Ghostwriter” on Youtube and there was a scene where Alex and Gabby were working in their father’s bodega and someone commented on the video and asked wasn’t that considered child labor. Because the comment was 5+ years ago I chose not to answer the question. The answer is no. And I will explain all of this. First things first, Jesus. For those who don’t know or who are in denial, Jesus was Jewish. And as most people know Jewish males at 13 have a Bar Mitzvah. This is where they enter manhood, but most importantly this is the time where they now begin to work with their father. Prior to social security you never had to apply for a job. You always worked for your dad. At 13 Jesus became a carpenter, because Joseph was a carpenter (Matthew 13:55 & Mark 6:3). In the bible days being a carpenter was considered an inferior job. So, at twelve, before his Bar Mitzvah, Mary and Joseph assume he ran away from becoming a carpenter. When they found Him, He replied that He is about His Father’s business. Not only was He referring to YHWH (Father, G-d), but he was also referring to the laws of following in His father’s (Joseph) footsteps. If you research ancient history in every nation, children were taught by their mothers’ (reading, writing, arithmetic, colors, etc.) and trained to work by their fathers’. That is why President Trump (and every wealthy man) employs his children. Not only because it is something our ancestors did, but because of the tax laws. As a man you can hire your wife and children and cut them a pay check and at the end of the year you can write it off on your taxes and the government pays you back what you paid your employees (wife and children). Furthermore, if you employ your children it is NOT considered child labor (by law). The cool thing about this is just as long as daddy is not a sinner you never have to worry about unequal pay, sexual assault, not enough pay, and not being appreciated on the job. Nor do you have to worry about college, student loans debt, experience, or a résumé. This is also one of many tricks the wealthy use to get out of paying taxes. So, the next time you see a child working in a small business before you report child labor ask if they are the child of the owner, because if they are, they are legally allowed to work.
