The Republicans do not have anything positive on the agenda for the future. By cutting government they remove all of the supports for all those affected by the insults you describe in your article. They have been misguided belief that private charity will step in and take care of the fallen. They don't like to talk about those that would be totally lost.
By loosening the grip of taxes and regulations on the corporations and banks now controlling things, they would be allowed to run full steam to create more environmental havoc than they already have. They can't seem to see the environmental "tipping points" warned by scientific inquiry. I guess they would rather see us go to the edge and over that edge, before coming up with any action to prevent the problem, kind of the way they treat health care… Let them go on Medicaid, or better yet, charity, after they have an incurable disease that could've been prevented much earlier if detected.
By continuing to fund "defense" as a disguise for highly offensive weaponry in a world where the primary threats are guerrilla like, terroristic, makes the United States the big bully on the block with tremendous destructive power that is totally unnecessary unless there is a real threat to the country's existence, which there isn't.
What goes around comes around, and in the case of the Republicans, they have it coming.
...seems there is no party that is good for "U.S.", maybe next we go with the libertarians or are they actually the librarians, I'm not sure anymore where anybody stands...I can't keep up & frankly I care not, I find it hard enough to keep from being depressed about my own life let alone worrying about this countries stupid political crap...(be careful on your route today, they say we may get some snow...)-e-
