The Remission of Sin has four steps as presented in my last article. The fourth and final step is receiving the Holy Eucharist. To confirm this last step, one must turn to the teachings of the Father's of the Church.

St. Ignatius of Antioch was said to have been a student of the Apostle John and appointed Bishop by St. Peter. An ideal resource from the early Church and what they thought about the Holy Eucharist, 200 years before the New Testament was available.

I present an excerpt from the writings of St. Ignatius of Antioch:

"They [the docetists] abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer, because they confess not the Eucharist to be the flesh of our Saviour Jesus Christ, which suffered for our sins, and which the Father, of His goodness, raised up again. They who deny the gift of God are perishing in their disputes".

Seems like St. Ignatius, who became a Bishop by the hands of St. Peter, agrees with my 4th Step for the Remission of Sin. All who deny The Holy Eucharist, which is a Gift of God will be held accountable in the Final Judgment.
