It happened as I started thinking about how infinite my possibilities really are that the idea of “giving expression” to one or another possibility came up in my thinking and conversations. I noticed how using this term affected how I felt. Evidently I had given myself a new way to think about people and situations.
So many situations seem to be so hardwired that sometimes I found it difficult to believe people or situations could change. Of course when I viewed situations as being hardwired and difficult – my perception – based on quantum thinking, things had to remain unchanged. In quantum thinking I send the energy and light of my thoughts and feelings ahead of me to accomplish one or another purpose – whatever meaning I had given the thing I was thinking about.
The area of family relations has interested me for years, especially communication among family members. Recently with numerous opportunities to observe and examine primary dynamics of family living, I noticed trends of interactions, mostly playing out the impact of negative beliefs and negative programming. With my interest in the power of consciousness or quantum thinking I applied many processes to bring about change, considering the power of consciousness as being a change-maker. Primarily, where I saw family interactions that signified estrangement and cutoffs, hostility and cruelty, I wanted to see family members interact as happy campers.
As I listened to conversations in a particular family setting I noticed the members tended to talk about the same thing again and again. Often they talked about problems and how much worse they expected things to get. As I listened I thought about the persons I was listening to as well as those they were talking about. I readily discerned the emotional nature of their conversations and began to think in terms of the emotions to which they were giving expression. At my current level of awareness, it was clear: these folks were giving expression to emotions they expected to experience repeatedly. Yet their words suggested their desire for change. They did not want to continue feeling the same way. Only they showed they did not know they were maintaining the atmosphere for continual unhappiness. I knew they wanted happiness.
But as I thought about what these persons were doing – giving expression to emotions of discord and unhappiness, I asked within self, “What would this conversation look like if these folks were giving expression to emotions of love and appreciation, joy and serenity?” Right away, images of love and appreciation, joy and serenity flooded my mind. I saw images of them laughing and dancing, hugging and doing things for each other, jumping up and down, making funny faces at each other, and so on. So many wonderful images came to mind I had to just stop and settle on just one or two – to enjoy and delight in them. It is so easy to get carried away.
Consciously I chose the image of these family members giving expression to the energy and light of fun with each other. That I had seen them giving expression to one energy type freed me to see them giving expression to any energy I chose. And at my current knowing I would choose only the energy and light that causes the release of pleasure-producing chemicals in the brain, blood and body in general.
