I raised questions about being realistic in relation to the power of consciousness. Especially I asked myself how could I be anxious when I know I am the power of consciousness with infinite possibilities available to me. That question moved me – actually freed me from the shackles of old programming.

I noticed each time I felt a sense of anxiousness I had bumped into old beliefs and subsequent programming holding me. Funniest thing, not until this thing came up did I realize how anxious I was. I had formed a habit of being anxious. Here I had such wonderful experiences basking in the joy of creating and maintaining an atmosphere filled with the energy and light of love and appreciation. Then I fell back into a habit I had not even connected with until forced to look at it when those arguments broke out again. I forced myself to look at what I was doing when I saw how much effort I was making to maintain the atmosphere of love and appreciation. Applying the power of consciousness, I had found it so tremendously easy to create and maintain any atmosphere I chose. So feeling that sense of effort or struggle was my clue to a seeming glitch. This seeming glitch however, was not a malfunction, but represented programming I still bought into. Yes, I finally saw what had happened – I still bought into programming that produced the sense of anxiousness and it was its own atmosphere. When I felt anxious I was not seeing the energy and light of appreciation. I did not see the energy and light of love. Finally I noticed I was feeling anxious when I saw the atmosphere had changed. But it delighted me to find I had changed the atmosphere. Before seeing I had done it I actually considered the possibility that someone else had brought that unwanted energy into this home and created an atmosphere that allowed the argument. But recognizing I had done it brought me back to the power of consciousness. I had shifted my focus from the energy I preferred. Well, I saw it and applied the power of consciousness to restore the atmosphere of love and appreciation. Then I reminded myself of the power of consciousness to immediately offset the energy and light of being anxious and saw it melt away instantly. The driving force behind my inquiry was seeing how the people in my home interacted with each other while in the atmosphere of love and appreciation. Beyond seeing their interactions was the joy I felt when I thought about the impact of these elevated emotions on them. As they expressed love and appreciation to each other they caused the release of pleasure producing chemicals in their brains and bodies. I could tell by their body language, tones of voice and activity level – and yes content of their conversations that they felt great. Yes they made this shift because they had tapped into the natural healing power of love and appreciation.
