Have you seen Ramsey Clark's website? Amazing . . .

I continue to be amazed at the political Left, both in the US and around the world. I can understand, even though I abhor, the anti-Americanism of the international Left, but I find the blatant anti-Americanism of the American Left absolutely astounding. Consider the website of an organization called the International Action Center (IAC), founded by former US Attorney General, Ramsey Clark. There are the usual anti-Iraq war rants, with links to websites with names like PeopleJudgeBush.com, troopsoutnow.org, and the like. There are also, however, links to other, equally odious websites such as stopwaroniran.org, Millions4Mumia.org, and antiterroristas.cu.

Let’s take that last one first: it ends in ".cu" – that means it is a Cuban website. The link description is as follows: " . . .provides up to date news, information and analysis relating to terrorism and acts of aggression against Cuba, as well as to the five Cubans unjustly incarcerated in the United States for defending their country against terrorism." Now what we have here is a Cuban website defending the Castro regime, claiming US policy on Cuba consists of "acts of terrorism" and "aggression" against Cuba. There is also a link to http://takeoff.to/Cubaofia – an official Cuban government website of the Cuban Interests Section. So, we have an obvious endorsement of propaganda from the totalitarian, communist government of Cuba. This speaks for itself.

Now let’s look at the link called Millions4Mumia.org. This site is dedicated to freeing an individual named Mumia Abu-Jamal, currently incarcerated in Pennsylvania. Mumia (real name: Wesley Cook), in case you don’t know, is a former Black Panther and a convicted cop-killer. The Left wants him free. This, too, speaks for itself.

And now the first link I alluded to above: stopwaroniran.org. I didn’t go out to that site, I didn’t have to. The context was enough. Iran is an islamofascist state that is trying to acquire nuclear weapons. The United States and its allies are trying to stop that from happening. The usually "anti-fascist," "anti-nuclear" Left opposes those efforts. Now what country do you think would be a target for Iranian nukes (besides the US of course, assuming they could develop a delivery system that could reach us)? Israel! What has Israel ever done to Iran? Nothing that I know of, except that Iran is run by radical Muslims who maintain that Israel should be wiped off the face of the earth. (The IAC website, by the way, also has links to "pro-Palestinian" websites with the usual anti-Israeli propaganda. I don’t suppose I need to remind everyone about the Iranian hostage crisis in 1980 . . .

SO . . . we have an American-based website supporting the Castro regime, the freeing of a murderer, and an islamofascist regime trying to get nuclear weapons to further destabilize the Middle East. Words are totally insufficient to describe my incredulity. I probably should not be surprised at this, because this is nothing new. Still, I really am amazed that the political Left, even in this country, will support virtually anything that can be legitimately described as anti-American, anti-law and order, anti-traditional, etc. The pro-Islamist stance is particularly infuriating as radical Islamic regimes are based on a strict interpretation of religious law, they are anything but democratic in nature, and totally trample the rights of women! If we pull out of Iraq and do nothing about Iran, this is what will happen:

• Iraq will become an islamofascist state, much like Iran and we will have lost the chance to have a "friendly" state between two radical ones, Syria and Iran.
  


• Iran will develop nuclear weapons and greatly destabilize an already unstable part of the world.
  


• The future of Israel, the only true democracy in the Middle East and a staunch American ally, will be in jeopardy. (By the way, the Arab citizens of Israel have more rights and freedoms than they do in most Arab countries.)
