Global Warming didn’t come like a thief in the night.  It didn’t happen in the twinkling of an eye.  There were countless warnings, major indicators through the years that something was happening to our planet.  There was a global rise in temperatures, and then there were the ice melts.  It was as if time had suddenly speeded up. You could actually see glaciers shrinking, icebergs breaking apart and melting before your very eyes.  Eruptions from dormant volcanoes were becoming common.  In the year 2024, the ice of Greenland and the continent of Antarctica, in the course of fourteen months, disappeared entirely, and the oceans of the world suddenly rose 328 feet (100 meters).  In the United Sates, Florida, Louisiana, Arkansas, and most of the eastern seaboard, in the course of one month, disappeared beneath the rising water.  Global warming didn’t come in an instant or the blink of an eye.  There were years of warnings, but no one listened or even wanted to hear.  This is the story of one family’s fight to survive in a world where everything has changed and what was once thought to be so important no longer mattered at all.  Only faith and their belief in God would get them through the days to come.  IN SEARCH OF SOMETHING ELSE, A Family’s Journey, A work in progress.
