Mystery with humor 4/9/2008 4:45:01 AM
When I wrote Genesis Beach and Just North of Luck, I included light-hearted scenes to break up the intensity of the murder investigations I enjoy reading mysteries and other genres that incorporate humor into the story here and there, so I decided while in the midst of writing one particularly gruesome scene in Genesis Beach, my first mystery, to include some comic relief. At least, I hope readers found it to be humorous and refreshing. Do any of you use humor in intense writing? What are some titles that you especially remember for having the intensity as well as humor?
