Somehow, I'm used to a blog having a catchy title and the blog entries having catchy titles, but I guess that the title of this blog is Ainsley Jo Phillips' Blog.

I thought that "Curious?...Hope So!!!" might be the main title under which you would put entries, but it turns out to be an entry, itself.

Anyway, if I were naming this blog, its name would be "Curious?...Hope So!!!"

Guess I'll have to save that catchy title for when I next want to create a blog/diary/journal somewhere in Cyberspace.

Anyway, can't really complain when it comes to having my name to be included in the title of my blog, because it draws a certain amount of attention to me.

Anyway, here I am just messing around, and I decided to come over here and leave my mark on this site a little more than I have been.

You know the old story:  So many sites...so little time.

Would you believe that I'm supposed to be on a retreat and not within reach of my computer?

Obviously, I've postponed that state-of-being for another day.

Actually, I've been there and done that already this summer--but just not for long enough.

But R&R time is coming soon, and I can hardly wait!!!

But all of the postponements of my R&R have been worth it, considering that I not only have three new books out, have written several articles, etc. but I've also had time to spend a lot of quality time with my Mommy--not that we don't do quite a bit of that anyway, but it's always nice to have more time to be together.

As some of you know, my dad passed away this past February 2, and it's been lonely without him.

We feel that he's still near to us, but we just aren't used to not having a husband and father with skin on--his sweet, gentle spirit contained in a warm body with a beating heart.

It has been a somewhat cooler-than-normal summer here in Indiana where not once (at least, in Central Indiana) has the temperature reached 90 degrees--though it came within a degree or two of doing so more than once.

I haven't missed the 90 degree weather one bit.

Anyway, it's been a beautiful summer with just the right amount of rain and sunshine to make things grow as they're supposed to.

It's hard to believe that it's almost September again.

So much has happened since last September--and, last September, I never thought that both my dad and my "adopted" aunt would have passed on.

September 22 would have been Aunt Bev's birthday with Daddy's following shortly afterwards on November 5.

Anyway, I think I've caught you up enough for now, so I'm going to sign off and write again in a few days...
