Take Care to Edit Templates

I picked up my bookmarks from the printer last Monday and they look very good, I think. I have a photo of the cover of the book, which gives the bookmark color, and the black printing on the white background looks sharp and clean.

However, even with all the care I took in making the template I still found an error in the blog address on the finished product. I omitted crucial words in the blog spot URL--I put http://welshcakes.blogspot.com instead of http://welshcakesshortstories.blogspot.com.

I should have remembered the carpenter's maxim: "measure twice, cut once", and applied it to my template making and said, "read carefully twice, and print correctly once".

Now, I have 300 bookmarks with the wrong address for my blog.

My advice to you all, is take extra time and care when making templates for any kind of advertising such as bookmarks or posters. Edit your work carefully and get a second pair of eyes to check it out.

It takes a long time to correct the error on 300 bookmarks and it spoils the look of the finished project.
