Jerusalem a burdensome stone
The ancient city of Jerusalem in the tiny nation of Israel has become “a burdensome stone for all people”(1) There is wild talk about the total destruction of Israel and extinction of all Jews. This kind of babble is nothing new; from Pharaoh to Hitler extermination of the Jew has been the goal of her Semitic neighbors and countless other ruthless men throughout the ages. This demented attitude was best demonstrated in the United Nations assembly in 1975 when the resolution to condemn Zionism as racism was passed. The Saudi Arabian ambassador stated.
“Zionism is racism …because the Jews believe they are a superior race, a chosen people. They believe their home should be in Palestine. Since when was God in the real-estate business?” (2)
Well, God has been in the real-estate business a very long time and Israel has been His number one client. In the year 1883 BC God promised Abraham the land “from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates.”(3) Could the modern nation of Israel be a clear testament to that promise partially completed.
If you wanted to exterminate a people before the atomic bomb was dropped on Japan in 1945 you had to do it one person at a time. Today you can destroy a nation with an electrical switch. Israel the occupier and her friend America the crusader are in great peril because this menacing power could turn against them at any time. Not that long ago it took an Inter- continental ballistic missile or a long-range bomber to deliver the payload. Today any crazed terrorist with a backpack can get the job done.
The retaliation could be unthinkable, the same nuclear power unleashed against the perpetrators thousands of times more lethal and “Their flesh shall rot away while they stand upon their feet”. (4)
