Evolution, Theory or Fact. 4/19/2010 6:50:06 AM
A few weeks ago, the young son of a Paleoanthroplogist (evolution of great apes) tripped over one of my (alleged) ancestors near a cemetery in Johannesburg South Africa. The bones of the two million year old Hominid (ape) somehow managed to make their way to the surface after all these years. The scientist (bone hunters) claims they may have literally stumbled on to the elusive missing link, long sought after by evolutionist. I have seen pictures of some of my ancestors and they could be right although in every similar case to date a missed calculation or hoax has been the end result.
When I was in school many years ago I remember studying the origins of life in freshman science class. There was no mention of creationism in the texts even at that time but one glaring difference I recall between today’s science and then was the reference to the (theory of evolution) as opposed to (evolution) taught today. Unless I’ve missed something, there is still no conclusive evidence that evolution has moved from theory to fact. Is it just me or is that a serious injustice to our young generations. Teaching kids in the public school’s that fact and theory are the same seems a serious breach in the law of science and possibly the civil law since it’s my tax money that finances the spurious notion that evolution is fact. I suppose when science can prove unequivocally that the evolution from one species to the other is a fact, I will change my way of thinking. Until then I remain skeptical. Meanwhile I will continue to apply my allegiance to God rather than evolution since they both require the same amount of faith and there are far more benefits on the side of God. When given the opportunity I will point out this glaring misconception for all to hear.
