'Putey causing mind bruises and tightening it's nooses...

Interesting and provacative, as well as infuriating and impeding, are the woes of the technology-impaired, cramming astronomical megabytes of computerese into a brain that loves to spiral out of control is just asking for trouble! And I've barely scratched the surface of my misused computer's problems. :) Among other things, I've deleted my display driver, which I've done several times before by tweaking around in Control Panel, reinstalled it again after an hour or so of frenzied leap frogging all over Help and sundry other inner files trying to remember how to get it back, may have deleted an OSBD file or something similar, finally found my Recycle Bin, I think, it just said Recycle, (somehow it's shortcut on my desktop disappeared a long time ago) then lost it again...
Well, I just spent another two hours checking in System Info. and its twisting paths. I think I restored a few files, others are still eluding my reach. Still, small steps, small steps...
Oh, on another note, my Hardware is using 14 I/O's, but I have over one or two hundred others, all Alias's of those same components, surely that must be taking up alot of Drive Space/Disc Space, more research needed to find out if and how I can delete them.
I've also found that every visit or refresh of a web page can put up to and probably over 40 files/cookies in Temporary Internet Files, hogging space from 'Putey's real duties, serving me! At AD, My Den put on 44 files, using up 34kb, Gold Log Ins-4 files using 78kb, Blogs-4 cookies/files- 108kb, Joseph Armstead's poem, "Agamonnon Goes Gansta", 5 files-11kb. Yahoo's log in-38 files/cookies using over 100kb in Temp. Files, another 30-40 for Inbox with another 100kb eaten up. Most of these are .gif's, .ccs's, .js's, .swf's and the cookie extension, .asp.
So, though I've learned more, I still am short on Drive Space with a measly 57MB left, which is better than the big fat 0 I had yesterday.
Maybe Ill try to drop by my computer guy, Dante's shop, he's always laughing at me, though. He knows when he sees me I've done something terribly erroneous to 'Putey, shakes his head, gets this little smirk on his face and, I swear, clucks under his breath! But, in the end, he is the expert, its always fun making him laugh at my descriptions of crazed crashings around inside of 'Putey's guts. Makes him feel good to be so useful to the computer idiots like I who think they can outsmart a computer! Haha, oh well, tomorrow is...another day!
