my words 9/26/2009 2:07:05 PM
sometimes my words just seem to flow, what i write about is something very dear to my heart, or someting that needs attention, how i feel, my history or the worlds problems that i have observed over a lifetime. sometimes i use the world and man synonymously, they do sometimes become one.
my words come to me without bidding, i say what i see, feel and know. my topics are varied. i have written about alzheimers, depression, love, life, even tried my hand at the dark side, but whatever i try they all posses a message, one that the reader must interpet to fit his/her own needs. sometimes i feel im not in control of what i write, but that could be because i do not think of myself as a good writer of words, just one who feels compelled to share what life has taught me. most of my experiences have some bearings on the historical values i experienced, the places that made deep impressions on me, the people i have strongly admired. i write the words hoping someone will understand and that maybe it touches their heart and soul. i am a very complicated person. my life has not been a simple one. it was not always filled with happy moments or happy memories. what i learned i pass on. only the reader can get something out of it or not. that is up to them.
i have made some interesting discoveries that have changed the way i think at times, like love only happens to the young and if you miss out you spend the rest of your life alone, bull to that. at 63 i have discoverd a love i never knew was there, i was lucky to discover that the man i have loved all these years waited for me to find this out. he is a very special man and the father of our two sons. i had to learn life the hard way, but my rewards for doing so and learning as well as growing up won me the privledge of having him back with all the love that goes with it, i now believe in soulmates, im also beginning to believe in the ideas that we never lose our loves, or our soulmates. they stay with us even after death. that i am happy for. so my words pass on what i now feel, a love so deep, so strong, that im beside myself with joy. i am also thankful that i still have him. ours is an undying love that has survived all the trials thrown at it, and for that i am truely thankful for.
being raised as a military brat (yes, im off on another tangent, get to know me) is not easy for some. i was shy as it was and losing any friend i had developed made me withdraw. i still withdraw into myself, only my words make themselves known and sometimes they can be very blunt and out spoken. i have become use to that and accept it. but it was hard. when i write something oontroversial or a topic that is different its because i write from experience, wether it is my experience or someone close to me. it is always what i can relate to or know.
i know what loneliness is, i know what pain is, physical and mental. my world is a lonely world till now, and even then it is only my family i now let in. they are trying to open me up, and im finding so are my words. i feel what they are doing, and i cant stop them.
well, i've said a lot of things here, opened myself up to you and hope i am accepted for who i am. i love this world we live in, but sometimes i dont like some of the people we share it with, the destructive ones, who rape and pillage this beautiful world we have, the ones who destroy the wonderous wildlife we share this world with, the ones who dont care if they destroy the world that has sustained us for millions of years. man is the latest addition to the evolutionary chain and in his short history has caused so much strife, that is what generated my poem 'Let Him Free'.sometimes i feel things so strongly and other times i feel things i dont know where they come from. but the words just dont leave me alone. so dont be afraid of what i write sometimes, i dont always write like that till something triggers it.
so now that i have given my words a chance to explain themselves, i think im going to retire into my own little world where i am safe. just remember something, there is magic here and im beginning to feel it, you are all a special group of people and im beginning to feel at home with all of you. let my creative juices flow. thank you
