Today I discovered the blog feature, and I couldn't be more veklempt over it. It's Saturday, lovely, sunny, high in the 90's today, and I'm blogging for the first time in my life. I should be writing my novel. My editor will kill me if she finds this entry. But here I am, riding the edge, pushing the envelope, skirting disaster. It's my signature move.
The curious thing is I'm actually about to start blogging on my own website--www.michaelwarden.com. I've been paying a cutting edge team of specialists for months now as they work in secret on my website's extreme makeover. The new site will include a blog, but they won't tell me much more than that. When I call them all I hear are whispers in the background--"We can rebuild it. We can make it better than it was before. Better. Stronger. Faster."
I think this is all to subconsciously prepare me for the final bill of $5 million dollars.
I'm currently embroiled in a battle to finish Waymaker, the second novel in the series I'm writing. The story's great, exciting stuff. But the process is demanding. How do people do this AND have a life?
If I ever figure that out, I will write a book about it.
