To My Dear Poetess friend "Susan De Vegter"
Just taking a little stab at a bit of humor My New P J’s
I am spending the holidays with my children and grand children,
It’s my greatest pleasure in life,
Spending it in the beautiful state of Georgia’s foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, is like being in heaven.
Last night it was cold, this morning was 27 degrees
Freezing I might say, if I wanted cold weather I should have gone Further north, to the Catskill Mountains, where at least I might be buried deep in snow to complement the freezing weather and have a picture postcard scene.
I can’t complain because my wife made sure I slept comfortable, covered with a homemade quilt and dressed in sparkling brand new, what she referred to as official genuine Georgia’s State troopers camouflage flannel pajamas.
Just kidding guys, hope y’all won’t be lined up in “I 575” waiting for me to mosey on by while enjoying the scenery pulling me over for driving
“too cautiously” on the right side of the Road, you might find a folded and stapled Government check (read the back of a SS check) in my pockets and add a federal rap send me up the river Till God knows when…..”Is that a heavy rap?” how much time can they give a disable senior citizen for such a drastic Violation??????? I’ve often wonder.
