LOVE THY NEIGHBOR---
The topics of "CULTURAL DIVERSITY, AFFIRMATIVE ACTION, and REPARATIONS" are hot modern-day issues, being discussed in many sectors. But the recent surge in popularity of racist comedy probably reflects a more accurate assessment of attitudes and a true picture of "cultural diversity"...in the "land of the free." (USA)
Dr. Martin L. King Jr. once warned---
" We better learn to live together in peace--or we will all die together as fighting fools."
During the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960's and 1970's great effort was exerted to get rid of these negative racist ideas, to teach 'tolerance' and --to try to live up to the ideals of "all folks were created equal."
The re-emergence of these types of sick statements, letters, jokes, and cartoons is a further illustration of the sick racial attitudes that exist among millions of people. They are ridiculing Black people for --everything from the way Black people name their kids, for wearing “African garb” --for slang expressions, for celebrating Kwanzaa---and everything about Black cultural expressions.
Sad to say--- MANY, MANY WHITE FOLKS do look down on , degrade and ridicule Black people as if White folks are SUPERIOR...and they don’t have the same types of behaviors in their group---and don’t do the same types of things--- maybe in different ways--but they do it. When "hillbilly" white folks do certain weird things-- it does not become something that we blame on the entire race of White folks. WE JUST MAKE JOKES ABOUT REDNECKS.
However, when a group of Blacks create a lingo, or a way of dressing---arrogant racists proclaim that the entire race of Negroes is a 'problem' ---and should be banished.
This arrogant (ignorant) attitude of SUPERIORITY is the cause of many horrible conflicts, racial fights, riots, lynchings of innocent black folks, and the sorry state of human and international relations on the Earth today. White people (Caucasian Americans) are certainly in NO moral position to degrade, ridicule or denounce any other group of people.
GO BACK TO AFRICA --- ?
As for the age-old racist wish that Black folks would go back to Africa--- lest we forget--- White folks brought the Black folks to America in chains.
To that wish--- I reply:
IF YOU DON'T LIKE OUR "Afro" STYLE...you should have picked your own damn cotton.
America was built upon the blood, sweat and tears of Black people from Africa. If some White folks are so disgusted with Black people--why not go back to Europe?
Although Black people have created many wonderful gadgets, inventions, and machines--ranging from toilets... to light bulbs...to medicines... to engines...to stop lights...to Jazz, poetry, etc. --- seldom do we hear any Whites attributing these accomplishments to the ENTIRE NEGRO RACE.
They apparently forget that it was White men who kidnapped millions of Black Africans, brought them to the USA in chains and enslaved them.
Even people from other cultures, races, and countries have jumped on the band wagon to ridicule the Black people. Such comments and feelings are widespread in many circles. It is a SHAME before God---that they pretend that they are so "good" and that others are not. WHITE PEOPLE and others from various ethnic groups--- have no moral, ethical or any position of superiority over Black people, whatsoever !!!
We join Rev. Al Sharpton and others in rejecting the OUTRAGEOUS, ridiculous, degrading comments from the President of Mexico regarding Black Americans--- and Mexico's racist postage stamps that they are selling.
Of all people--- the Mexicans should be ASHAMED OF THIS ACTION....
Yet, these groups get highly insulted if others make fun of them in the form of “speedy gonzales” --- or calling them “wet backs.”
THESE IGNORANT RACIST CARTOONS, ILLUSTRATIONS, JOKES and comments made as if "white folks" don't do silly things, as if White folks are “perfect people” ---and as if White folks don't give their kids silly names...or that "white folks" are so TOGETHER that they can laugh at other people.
EVERY CULTURAL GROUP adopts its own ways of expressing music, art, language, etc. The main problem is that too many people have narrow-minded ideas that ONLY ONE type of expression is OK…and that is the White Middle Class American expression.
For white folks --- these cultural differences are just something to joke about….they even joke about their behaviors among their own races….

White folks (hillbillies) and rednecks---in particular---do the same types of things... such as naming their kids some "weird" names--- can't speak the Kings English well, they get drunk, cuss, have shot-gun weddings, and all types of crazy activities.
And the recent popular REDNECK JOKES…shows that it is OK for White folks to act any way they want--- it just becomes a joke.
YOU MIGHT BE A REDNECK IF…
….*The people on Jerry Springer's show remind you of your friends.
….. * You've been married three times and still have the same in-laws.
….* You think TACO BELL is the Mexican Phone Company.

---yuk, yuk, yuk…….ALL OF IT IS A JOKE FOR WHITE FOLKS….
But some of them use these behaviors, differences, and characteristics only to degrade Black people. BUT these racist White folks outright DEGRADE black people for the same behaviors, without any understanding about how or why these characteristics have developed.
For example--- Ebonics was developed over time thru the use of some English and some African words--- mixed together--- just like Spanglish developed.
Such unique, weird or unusual ways of expression are NOT just a characteristic of Blacks.
Let's talk about the way most White folks dance !!!! (or can't dance)
I REMEMBER when I was in high school --we rushed home to watch AMERICAN BANDSTAND and we laughed at the way the whites danced. Nowadays, many Whites love Black music and buy more “Rap” than do Black folks.
The long names, wearing Afro clothes, speaking Ebonics, etc.--- are just expressions of our CULTURE and often times it is just a way that things are done in a certain area or community.
BUT FOR AFRICAN-AMERICANS it is all another example of the SICK, racist cartoons, illustrations, and presentations that have become more and more popular among the IGNORANT of this planet !
The idea that one race (White) is better or superior to another is obviously INCORRECT.
We are all more SIMILAR than we are different. WHO says that it all has to be done ONE way??
SADLY, there is not enough emphasis placed upon studying BLACK HISTORY and other cultures.
By studying Black History we would all learn that all people originated from the same seed--that most of the great inventions that we use today came from Africa and Black African people---and that White people are not the smartest species on this Planet.
And we would learn that the ORIGINAL Egyptians (Nubians) were Black Africans (Negroes) as shown on the walls of the Pyramids.
