Peace, a Fruit of God's Holy Spirit 1/7/2005 12:04:35 AM
Peaceful are your ways, Oh Lord. In peace I find a haven of rest. Rest, rest awhile in the goodness of the Lord. Adversity surrounds my life, yet I will trust in Thee...Mighty are Thy Deeds and You are the Lord of my life... It is that I wish to reflect on the goodness of the Lord. The peace that gives my soul repose. It is in God that we find a true peace, that gives us comfort to endure. I call upon the name of the Lord and find myself assured in His peace that He is always there in times of trouble. It is that I have been going through trials and adversities, that only God knows the answers. I reflect on Peace, a word that brings comfort to the heart, a word that relieves my soul, and frees my mind. Lord, it is that I desire to walk in Thee more that anything else in my life. It has been in just the past three months that many of my family members have been under attack. It is because of my faith in You that I find a true peace that passes all understanding. It is through these hard times that I am moved to an even closer walk in Thee. My mother has been diagnosed with colon cancer and has undergone surgery.I have been taking care of her. What a blessing in my life. My brother-in-law was working on a job and had a bad accident. He was electricuted and lost his arm. My neice has just undergone two surgeries on the brain, and my sister-in-law is going through treatment for colon cancer. Yet through all the trials and tribulations I turn to you for strength and diligantly pray for each of my family. I turn to You because I know that you have the answers. As I contemplate on Your peace I find comfort and a blessed assurance that you are present in all situations. I wish to express my love for You, the Lord of my life. You truly are worthy to be praised. I take a hold of this peace and rest in Your love. It is in the trials and tribulations of life that we grow and learn to turn it all over to You. Lord, I pray for my family, and ask for Your blessing over each and everyone of their lives. Touch them in a special way. May they experience a great peace that only you can give. May I be ever mindful of their needs. Peace, peace I shall rest awhile and thank God for His sustaining power. Truly you are the Prince of Peace.
I had a dream one night, I found myself resting near the River of Life in heaven. All around were beautiful trees in full bloom. Beautiful were the leaves upon these trees, falling so gently to the ground. There were colors so beautiful and my eyes beheld in awe, the changing of the seasons. I found myself resting silently under a tree that had blossomed full with color. I found peace under this tree and it was there that I rested for awhile. It was then that I heard a voice say, "Be still and know that I am God." It was then that I awoke and I knew that I had found peace and rest to go on in life's journey.
I shall not be moved by what I see or the circumstances of life that surround my life. I claim a great healing for my family and it is that I turn to You, the Prince of Peace. Oh sweet peace, I rest in thee...
