Almost everyday I pass by the church down the street, where there is one of those signs in front. Like a movie marqee.
I'm always trying to figure out the meanings, because they never make sense to me!
Today the sign said, "when we are weak, the lord is strong".
What the hell does that mean? Who says we're weak? What if we are? What does that have to do with the lord being strong?
It seems to me, the statement's purpose is to make people feel helpless and unworthy.
Why do churches or religions like this control people by making them feel bad about themselves or guilty. I don't understand this at all.
