We Are Doing The Best We Can.
The old saying used to go, "Another Day another $1.00," not anymore. These days we are happy to just have a job. I was telling my niece, just yesterday at her birthday party, I remember well when I was a teenager, how far $1.00 went. I only made $3.00 per hour when I got my first job so you do the math. I could take a $1.00 bill and with .50 cents for 2 gallons of gas, and .25 cents for the show ticket, I would have .25 cents lefover. With that .25 cents I could get a .10 cent coke, a .05 candy candy bar, .5 cents for the popcorn and still go home from the picture show ith a nickle in my pocket. Times have definitely changed. I guess I just gave away my age. Yes youngsters that was a long long time ago. So when the bills pile up and your so stressed out that you think your going to pull your hair out, remember your doing the best that you can. Keep your chin up high and streeeeetch that .50 cents.
