Never forget who you really are. Being from a small town means I know almost everyone, literally. I had a stranger stop me today and say that he recognized me from my picture in the paper. It was neat having someone recognize me from an article in our local paper. He asked me about my book and I talked to him for a little while, then I asked him his name. He told me and then we both realized that even though we had never met, we had mutual friends. It really is a small world if you just take a minute out of your busy schedule to think about it. One of the other ladies in the diner asked me if now that I was famous was I going to forget all of the little people. I told her there are no little people in this world, just little minds. I hope my mind never gets so small that I can't take a minute out to speak to a fellow passerby. I never want to forget where I came from or who I am.
