"Maybe I'll Hang a Shingle" 6/22/2010 7:23:18 PM
Strangers listening to Strangers. I own a very small shop in a very small town, so I meet few to no strangers. However, the other day a customer came into my shop that I had never seen before, I didn't know her from Adam, but I could tell she needed a shoulder to lean on. I listened to what she had to say, which was quite sad, and after she released alot that she had pent up I think she felt better, I hope so anyway. My friends tell me I should hang a shingle out front saying, "Retail Therapy Found Here." Alot of my customers walk in the door, turn off their cellphones and spend a carefree few minutes or hours, mostly just relaxing, they say its' good therapy, some of my customers say it is me, but either way, down time is good for all of us. I might just hang that shingle outside, have to think about that. R.C.Drake
