Slow down and take time to smell the Roses 6/25/2010 7:12:13 PM
Not Enough Hours in a Day I was listening to a customer complain about how little time her daughter spends with her in a week, today, and after she had complained for a several minutes, she realized I hadn't agreed with her yet. So she stopped speaking for a few minutes and asked me if I didn't agree with what she had to say. I didn't, so I said as much, because I usually speak my mind, I have a big mouth. I asked her if her daughter had a second job, and she looked at me puzzled like, and I said she has two children so that is one job, does she have a second job, and she said yes. I asked her if it was full time also, because being a mother is one full time job and she said yes. Then I reminded her that it was the same distance for her to drive to her daughters house as it was for her daughter to drive to her house and since her daughter had two full time jobs, two children to bath, feed and dress every day maybe instead of complaining she should just drive over to her house and perhaps, she could even help her out a little bit, just once in a while, then they would probably both be happier in the long run.
