One small complaint for man - one giant RANT for mankind!
Yeah, LIZ - I know, I know, too many CAPS and !!!! Old habits are hard to break, but I'm trying. my EX always thought I was TRYING! COPY OF EMAIL TO MPT – Re: Listening Project Survey.
Hi! I just finished the survey & have a complaint! Just 'who' is listening to 'whom'?
If you want honest input from dedicated viewers then a COMMENTS section should ALWAYS be present on EVERY survey.
I took the survey because I had something to SAY --- and assumed MPT wanted to LISTEN - had I not "SNUCK" my comment into the what SHOWS do you watch section, I would have been ANGERED at the end, when no COMMENTS section was provided!
I am 65, just retired, have a B.S. in Business Management, with over 30 years of practical "hands on" experience. Am a LOCAL published Poet & Author ( very 1st book came out in May, 2005 - "BAWLMER, MERLYN - Home of The HONS" - with less than 100 copies ever sold, it was just CANCELLED by the publisher! WHY? Insufficient DEMAND! WHY?
Even though I sent a SYNOPSIS, along with TWO excellent REVIEWS to EVERY LOCAL BALTIMORE: TV station (including MPT), Radio station, Magazine, and Newspaper - TWICE !!! I WAS TOTALLY IGNORED! No one even had the decency to respond, to even tell me to "DROP DEAD!" Not one IOTA of support, for a lifelong, devoted, loyal Baltimore, Maryland resident - NOT ONE!
EVEN MARTY BASS & DON SCOTT FAILED TO EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE SEPARATE FOLLOW-UP EMAILS!
But, guess what Pilgrim - I am also a hard-headed Irishman, that detests the word "QUIT." Am currently re-editing my little book (memoirs covering 50 years of growing up & living in Baltimore) and searching for a new REPUTABLE publisher, NOT Publish America, a Frederick, Maryland firm!
Now, back to my ISSUE on surveys:- Consider, if you will, that any survey, or project, like any TEST, can only properly MEASURE results if it was DESIGNED appropriately, in the first place! If you want SKEWED, or biased answers, then that's exactly what you'll get! No more, no less! You want HONEST answers, that will increase your knowledge data base? Then BE HONEST!
If all you seek is nice little bundles of X's and O's, or 1's and 0's, that a computer program can just TALLY UP - that's ALL you'll get! If you want
ACCURATE intelligible data from HUMAN BEINGS that truly CARE - then HUMAN intervention MUST be present and utilized on YOUR END! If you only want COUNTS of numbers, like phone-In VOTES for Singing, Dancing, Whatever, then do so. Neat, Easy, Quick and lacking HUMAN INPUT!
That's enough of my 'rambling' for now. In closing, I should like to state that this World as we know it, with Speed, and Technology, WARS over OIL and RELIGION ---> is "Going to HELL in a Hand-Basket"
Seniors being RIPPED OFF by AVARICE-RIDDEN Pharmaceutical companies and CROOKED, UNCARING CONGRESS PERSONS (who vote themselves RAISES, while telling us to "tighten our BELTS!" and ENJOYING A PRIVATE PENSION PLAN that is OBSCENE, and then add insult to injury by trying to SCREW UP SOCIAL SECURITY BENEFITS! F-O-U-L !!!
The LARGEST group of our society that has worked hard their entire lives celebrate their so-called "Golden Years" by being SCREWED by
MEDICARE, MEDICAID, and all the commercial GREEDY HEALTH INSURANCE companies, and the good ole boyz in GUVMINT sit IDLY BY, doing NOTHING ABOUT IT but TALK, TALK, TALK --- The National Health Insurance Act has been a beaten battered DEAD HORSE for over FORTY YEARS NOW - I call this phenomena "OSTRICH SYNDROME" - our "representatives" - SURE! and PIGS CAN FLY - RIGHT?
The American public, along with the rest of the the world is being SCREWED by "The Seven Sisters" by PRICE GOUGING at the pumps, and our "so-called" Leaders, and ChUmpions, sit around with their THUMBS UP THEIR RECTUMS and DO NOTHING! The STENCH is overbearing!
And, while all this is going on, ad infinitum, The Fifth Estate, the Press, the Media, LACKS THE INTESTINAL FORTITUDE AND TESTOSTERONE to UNITE and COMBAT these "Behind-Closed-Door DEALS" and report the TRUTH!
How sad! The richest, most powerful Nation in the world is crumbling from within (gee, ever hear of ROME?) and NO ONE GIVES A TINKER'S DAM!"
C'est La Vie!
What ever happened to: Logic? Common Sense? Fairness? Integrity? Truth? Justice? and The American Way? All used for FERTILIZER!
On the PLUS side, there are two BEACONS OF HOPE - MPT and AARP!!!
"Remember The Alamo! Remember The Maine! Remember Pearl Harbor! Remember 9-1-1 ! and "OLD PEOPLE RULE!"
