LIZ --- great review! I must plead ignorance about this senator, never heard of him. But what amazes me is that I was wrong! I thought, believed, and have even 'preached' that ALL 535 'apples' in the Congressional 'basket' were ROTTEN to the core!
This review tells me that there is still HOPE! At least ONE senator has not succumbed to stupidity and avarice! Can we find another? Are there two? Maybe even three? Will any Americans finally wake up and VOTE their consciences at the polls this fall? "DUMP THE CHUMPS - ELECT CHAMPIONS"
To back up what Senator Dorgan has written, I highly recommend that EVERY AMERICAN CITIZEN rent or purchase the movie "The Corporation." It shows beyond a reasonable doubt that the Senator is RIGHT ON!
I would be so bold as to paraphrase one of our most Treasured American Heritages that has been Battered, Raped, and left to Rot and Die, all in the name of corporations and globalization: "A government OF the people, BY the people, FOR the people..." has COVERTLY been exchanged by Congress and other politicians to: "A government of the CORPORATION, by the CORPORATION, for the CORPORATION..."
Corporations and Crooked Politicians have done everything they can to cause our system to "...perish from the earth." WAKE UP AMERICANS! We've all been SCREWED and haven't even been KISSED !!!
