'Twas The Week Before Christmas 12/21/2010 9:28:48 AM
It is as if the week before Christmas isn't chaotic enough! Traumatic weekend travelling back from Schipol (see articles). Arrived home at 7.05pm Saturday night and by 7.40 I was on my way to a dinner party.
Sunday was a bit more relaxing, though the weather caused widespread disruption to my major source of relaxation, sport!
Spent most of the day sorting out the garage. It is so cold here that most of my beer has frozen solid - binned it all and made a note to buy more before Christms (and keep it warmer).
Sally has decided that, with just a week to go before Christmas, we should replace all of the skirting boards upstairs. The whole place is a mess!
Back to work Monday - but only in the morning.
On my list of 10 things to do before I die - number 1 (actually its not but probably should be) - make a will. Well that is now complete!
The wrapping presents marathon has well and truly started - I just wish Sally could remember where she hid them all.
Mike (another Mike, not me) busying himself all day with replacing skirting boards, he's done a good job, and its beginning to feel a bit more like Christmas.
Work just gets busier and busier - I think you Americans must be workaholics. I look forward to time off over the festive period, your PM wants to know if I will be answering emails. Wish I'd never got this damned Blackberry.
Search Inside rejected by Amazon as cover not hi res enough. Fastprint kindly provided me with the original PDF and it is now downloading.
Ive also updated the old cricket club newsletters (www.wbccnewsletter.blogspot.com) - they make me laugh even after 17 years - but probably won't mean much to anyone who doesn't know the people involved.
Started to put project team together for next year's migration - should be able to finalise that over lunch tomorrow.
Keema balti for dinner - home made of course!
Finished shopping (including the beer). Finalised the cricket club accounts with payment to treasurer, and handed out the last few Christmas cards.
Think I deserve a relaxing drink now - and its only Tuesday!
