Coincidence? I think not! 8/29/2012 7:53:30 AM
Yesterday was an amazing day. Following on the heels of a very informative and exciting webinar with my publisher, Solstice Publishing the night before, all things author related seemed to fall into place. First, I was blessed with a booking at the Redding library (a huge, beautiful and vastly used facility) for Halloween night for my latest book, The Mortician's Wife. Then, the hat I had ordered with the purpose of using it for a photo shoot promoting that book arrived. And last, but not least, I discovered I had the perfect dress to go with the hat in the back of my closet - never been worn! I had bought it at a ridiculously low price with no idea when or if I would ever have occassion to wear it.
The photo shoot is scheduled for today - just in time for me to send a photo off to the library for them to promote the reading/signing. Yes!!!
I posted the above this morning on my Facebook book page (sorry, it isn't my author page - I don't have one yet, but I promise to set one up within the next couple of days) As you can see, it was all about coincidences. At least that's what I thought.
The odd thing is, when I posted it, the following posting had just come up on my board, "Don’t dismiss the synchronicity of what is happening right now finding its way to your life at just this moment. There are no coincidences in the universe, only convergences of Will, Intent, and Experience." This was sent by Anthony Catlett, a young man who possess the wisdom of a man of far greater years.
I was riding a wave of excitement when I posted my message - but after reading Anthony's message, well, all I can say is WOW!
I'm still trying to figure out the fullness of this amazing incident. When I wrote my message I felt that yesterday's events were trying to not only help me with my writing career, but were also letting me know I am on the right path with it - finally.
But Anthony's message - well, that's something else. I'm still sitting here, shaking my head, wondering what it all means.
I would be very interested in hearing your thoughts on this. Maybe you can help open my mind, as well as my heart, to the fullness of Anthony's posting, as well as the timelyness of it's arrival. Please, if you have any idea at all, let me know, okay?
And now, filled to overflowing with a belief in my life's mission, I will get back to the nitty-gritty of being an author.
