I've got the Flu and I can't sleep, my coughing and sneezing is keeping me awake so I thought I'd check my email and check out AD too. Trouble is I can't even get comfortable in my nice leather swivel chair that I bought some months ago to replace my old computer chair. Why - because the Matriarch of my cat family, Sammy Jo, has claimed it for her own.
She opens one eye and sees me coming but does she move, not on your life. It is HER chair now, not mine, she grudgingly allows me to perch on the front two inches of it and if I dare try to move any further back she starts 'needling' my derriere.
Once in a while she will get up in disgust and let me borrow it for half an hour but she seems to spend most of her life in it now. If she gets really annoyed with me, she jumps up on my desk and sits bang in front of the computer screen with her tail draped over my keyboard. Makes life a bit difficult sometimes.
Well, I think I'll go downstairs and have a bowl of cornflakes, suddenly I'm hungry, that must be a good sign, I think! It's only 1.13am, maybe there's something worth watching on TV.
