The left-wing Democrats have an ambivalent mind-set that reflects totally unrealistic wishful-thinking. Out of touch with economic reality, they want to have the cake but eat it.

The left-wing Democrats have an ambivalent mind-set that reflects totally unrealistic wishful-thinking. Out of touch with economic reality, they want to have the cake but eat it.
They want higher wages for American workers, but lower prices for American consumers.
They want cheap products, but hate cheap Chinese imports.
They want U.S. companies to also provide cheap products, but they insist U.S. workers must receive high wages.
They want businesses to keep workers on corporate payrolls, but wish corporate earnings would stay as low as possible.
They want U.S. companies to keep business operations in the U.S. so that jobs can be maintained in the U.S. and tax revenues generated for the government, but at the same time, they insist on higher corporate tax rates and business-unfriendly regulations, only to find such stupid U.S. companies are an endangered species in today's highly competitive market environment.
They have become a bunch of "but" politicians. Take Senator John Kerry for example. He says he supports U.S. troops in Iraq, but he wants to deny U.S. troops the $87 billion in material support that they need in order to fight the Baathist insurgents.
Well, this is clearly a man who wants to have the cake but eats it. What a great leader for the "but" politicians' "But Party"!
