Now I know why you are so addicted to the "spin doctor trash" I write for self-entertainment purposes. It entertains not only myself, but authors of prominence like you -- quite a compliment. Your laughter sounds like applause that only a talented entertainer deserves.

Your inability to make effective responses is probably due to the "intellectual flexibility" that has developed in your subconsciousness. It has the power to make you not only "swerve at times" but "swerve" 180 degrees -- from being a believer in high taxes for business to calling for a low flat tax. Good for you!

Our friend, Claywoman, says Adam Smith is wrong. So, perhaps, she may want to say Karl Marx is right. Anyway, Marx was a philosopher with historical perspectives. For instance, he believed that historical developments could spiral upward.

This may indicate that he believed in historical cycles. In this regard, I admit I have similar beliefs, though I'm not a Marxist. Claywoman certainly sees me as a believer in Adam Smith. The truth is I believe in free-market capitalism and have no quarrel with Adam Smith.

Are you saying you believe the Vietnam War and the Iraq War are "equal historical events"? I call them unequal historical events, because they have completely different circumstances. Anyone who thinks Saddam Hussein loyalists can sustain their insurgent activities for a full decade as the Viet Cong did must be smoking pop!

The war on terror is more like World War II of 60 years ago. America will emerge from the war on terror much stronger as it did from World War II.

But I guess we may see some upsurges of left-wing sentiments in the Western world in the coming years, during which, some members of the left-wing movement might end up in serious trouble on charges of treason.

Well, that's what happened after the end of World War II when some members of the left-wing movement engaged in subversive activities with financial support from the Communist world (i.e. the Soviet Union).

This time around, members of the left-wing movement might receive financial support from the Islamist world of terror.

They may have already done so, judging from the scale of pro-Saddam demonstrations staged by the political left in both Europe and America before the outbreak of the Iraq War and from the left wing's strong opposition to the Patriot Act. Because the political left identifies itself with al-Qaeda and Saddam Hussein?

My feeling is that there are some very dedicated left-wing activists out there who are using their organizational power to do whatever they can to damage the Bush administration. Below is an example:

CNN has many online "opinion polls" which viewers can participate in. Although CNN makes clear these "opinion polls" are not scientific, there are apparently a number of very dedicated participants in such unscientific polls, most of whom, in my judgement, are left-wing because the poll results are almost always favorable to the political left.

I say they are dedicated participants, because I myself wouldn't bother to stand up, walk near my computer and participate in any CNN online opinion survey in the middle of a CNN program.

And I wouldn't be surprised if most of these dedicated participants are organized to ensure CNN "opinion poll" results are favorable to the left. This could be an effort on the part of the political left to influence public opinion.

Of course, such efforts if true are perfectly legal. The danger here is incitement of anti-government left-wing sentiments could easily poison the minds of tens of thousands of brainless young people, causing them to lose direction in life and fall a prey to Islamist recruiters. John Walker Lynh, the so-called "American Taliban", is just one example among many.
